This picture was taken on 22/12/1895. What it shows should be easily recognized by everybody: an x-ray of a human hand. Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen from Germany was the first to use radiation for scanning the body. His experiment object was his wife. Well, his wife’s hand. For this discovery he earned the Nobel Prize for physics. Magnolia Silver Jewellery of course honors Roentgen but has anybody ever spent one thought about honoring his wife as well?
